Protect your eyes!
While the eclipse's totality can be viewed with the naked eye, the rest of it should be viewed with some kind of eye protection. Remember that you'll be staring at the sun. NASA recommends wearing glasses with a special filter (you can use number 14 welders glass or buy a cheap pair of special-made paper shades), or using a DIY pinhole projector.
